About KLAKS
KLAKS is a simple Egyptian idea: a QR sticker on your windshield, so anyone who needs you can send you an alert without learning a thing about you.
The problem we solve
Double parking is an everyday fact of life in Egypt. When one car blocks another, the options used to be: lean on the horn, ask around the nearby shops, or leave a note under the wiper. And anyone who writes their number on the windshield opens the door to calls and harassment — women most of all.
Where we stand on privacy
No number is ever shown to anyone, not the owner's and not the scanner's. The sticker is just a random code, so whoever finds it learns nothing about you or your car. Your number is stored encrypted, and you can delete your account entirely at any time.
Things we will not build
No directory of plate numbers, and no way to look up a car owner by plate. KLAKS works in one direction only: the person standing at the car, looking at the code, can send an alert. That's it.
Free during launch
Everything is free during the launch period: signing up, the sticker, and the alerts. If that ever changes, we'll tell you well before it does.
